Sustainable knits with the Baltic touch | Meet The Knotty Ones

The synergy of nature amazes us. Look at the plants – different kinds coexist at the same time, complementing each other and creating dreamy artistic landscapes we admire everyday. Their beauty is in their differences and ability to be unique, no matter what. Nature inspires us to create beautiful, ethically and sustainably made clothes – this is our way of sharing our beliefs with the world. Countless collaborations have taught us that by sharing, we don’t loose anything, on the contrary – we gain so much: experience, memories, knowledge and bursts of positive emotions. In our partnerships and collaborations, we always look for brands with similar passions and goals, sustainable vision and ethical business practice, bringing more meaning to this world.

We’ve been frequently asked by our clients, where they could purchase knits that would perfectly match our linen clothes. As all-things-natural lovers, we’ve already had an eye on The Knotty Ones for quite some time. As the name suggests, it’s a knitwear brand, but, actually, it’s so much more. It is so nice to meet other creators (who also happen to be from Lithuania), caring about their customers, coworkers and simply wishing to make the world a better place. The brand was created by three best friends, who all share love and admiration for good quality knitted garments.

The Knotty Ones brand is based on the empowerment of women. They have their whole business built on strong women – their knitters – that made this whole beautiful thing happen. The company employs women, mostly stay-at-home moms, living in the small towns or villages in Lithuania, enabling these women to make a living out of their craft by getting a fair pay as well as having safe and humane working environment.

Another important aspect of our collaboration was the way The Knotty Ones garments look and feel. Their ability to create such contemporary looking pieces, making any outfit stand out, truly inspires us. What is more, The Knotty Ones even declare the woman’s name, who made the particular knit on the label – it makes such a huge difference to the way you look into the finished product.

As a result of our collaboration with The Knotty Ones, we had a photo shoot, and our model was a gorgeous woman Milda – Lithuanian social activist and author, who happens to be 60+. Once again, we were impressed by the beautiful synergy of linen, knitwear and the true beauty of a woman, that complemented each other perfectly. The beautiful shots, incorporating the fashion pieces of Not Perfect Linen and The Knotty Ones seem like a breath of fresh air, perfectly portraying the beauty of any age.
