not PERFECT LINEN at DOORS NYC: A Baltic Designers Pop-Up in New York

Earlier in 2026, a small part of our Lithuanian studio travelled to New York without us.

Our linen garments were included in Meet Baltic Designers, a pop-up at DOORS NYC bringing together three Baltic brands: NOT PERFECT LINEN, NOVALISS, and NARCISS.

We could not be there in person, but our work was.

For a small brand, this does not feel ordinary. Every garment begins in our family-owned studio in Lithuania, where it is cut, sewn, washed, checked, and prepared by hand. Then, this time, it crossed the Atlantic and found its place in SoHo.

Baltic Design in the Heart of SoHo

DOORS NYC is a concept store and PR showroom on West Broadway in SoHo. It brings independent designers, contemporary art, and emerging creative talent together in one space.

The Baltic event was created for a more personal kind of discovery. Visitors could see the collections of three brands from our region and learn about the work behind them in a relaxed setting.

That felt like a natural place for us to be.

Our way of making has never been built around speed or volume. We work according to a made-to-order model, creating each garment only after it has been chosen. Every piece passes through skilled hands, and much of what matters about it can only be understood up close: the weight of the linen, the movement of the garment, and the small irregularities that show the presence of human work.

There is something meaningful about those pieces being experienced so far from the place where they were made.

From Lithuania to New York

Distance makes you see your work differently.

Here in our studio, we are surrounded by fabric rolls, patterns, orders, questions, and all the daily decisions behind each garment. We know who made each piece, how much attention it required, and how many human hands helped it find its final form.

In New York, those same garments entered a completely different rhythm and met people who may never have encountered our work before.

Small brands often wonder whether it is possible to travel further without becoming less personal. This experience reminded us that it is.

Growth does not always need to mean becoming louder or making more. Sometimes, it simply means allowing the work to enter a new place while remaining honest about where it came from and how it was made.

We are grateful to DOORS NYC for making room for independent Baltic design in New York, and proud to have shared that space with NOVALISS and NARCISS.

Being included did not make us feel like a bigger company. It reminded us why we have chosen to remain a personal one.

Our garments travelled across the ocean. What arrived in New York was still unmistakably made here, by our team, in the way we have always believed things should be made.

You can explore our linen clothing from wherever you are.
